Q: Summer pool season is already here, for those of us realizing this a little bit too late, what do you recommend we do to feel confident and healthy as soon as possible?
I recommend establishing some goals. What is it that you want to accomplish? How bad do you want it? When do you want to reach your goal by? From there, you can figure your route to a confident and healthy summer. Everyone has a different and beautiful body. Play up your best features, drink lots of water, and eat lots of greens!
Q: For people like you – on the run all day, what advice would you give for getting in some healthy meals?
Batch cooking. Definitely, batch cooking. It saves my life everyday. I don’t have to cook, but once or twice a week. It also doesn’t allow me to have time to wonder what my next meal would be. So, it saves me from cheating!
Q: Is there a skin or beauty product that, if put out of production, would drive you to track down the last remaining stock on ebay?
I love Dr. Dennis Gross skin care. I found his daily face peel from Nordstroms. They’ve changed the clarity of my face. They’re a for sure confidence booster now. You’ll definitely have a glow after use.
Q: What is the biggest difference between training clients in Denton, and training clients in Dallas?
Oh dear, big difference. I’ve definitely grown as a trainer. The easiest way to describe the difference of clientele is by types. Dallas is very “Type A”, and Denton is more “Type B”.
Q: Do you ever feel like there are not enough hours in the day?
7 days a week. I sacrifice a lot of time, because I absolutely love what I do, but more hours in my day would be wonderful. I wake up everyday at 4:30 AM and fall asleep around 11 PM. I train all morning and night long.
Q: What are some of your workout essentials (favorite bag, headband, shoes, tunes, etc)?
I’ve turned into a Lulu Lemon princess in the last 6 months. I wear Lulu tights, headbands, tops, and my favorite gym bag is Lulu too! As for shoes, I’m a Nike training shoe girl and Brooks for running. As for my sweat tunes, I’m obsessed with Beyonce. I don’t know what I’d do without my iPad and YouTube app during my cardio sessions at the gym. You’ll catch me on the stair master shaking me hips and waving my hands in the air to Beyonce’s ” Countdown” music video.
Q: #1 vacation spot?
In the US, definitely Napa Valley. There’s so much to do, eat, and of course drink. It also doesn’t hurt how beautiful the area is!
Q: Dallas’ best hidden gem?
I’m a foodie, I love Greek food and culture. Club Stratos is definitely the coolest place in my book. The food is awesome and there is never a dull moment. A run around sunset on White Rock lake can’t be beat, either!
